At the same time, the expert team inspected the health status of the giant panda "Yaya" on the spot and read its physical examination report and monthly health report. According to the assessment, at present, "Yaya" has good appetite, normal stool characteristics and stable weight, except for hair loss caused by skin diseases. The expert group also discussed with the Memphis Gardeners about the abnormal condition of "Yaya", and put forward suggestions and requirements to the United States on the breeding and care of "Yaya".
China and the United States are actively coordinating and handling relevant procedures to try to transport the giant panda "Yaya" back to China as soon as possible. At present, China has issued import licenses and quarantine licenses, determined quarantine sites and made relevant preparations.

On February 3, the Memphis Zoo of the United States issued a declaration of "Le Le"'s death. On February 4, the spokesman of the Chinese Embassy in the United States said that the Chinese expert team would go to the United States to investigate the cause of death when answering questions from reporters about the death of "Le Le".
In April 2003, "Lele" from Shanghai Zoo and "Yaya" from Beijing Zoo arrived in Memphis by plane, making Memphis Zoo the fourth zoo with pandas in the United States. In 2013, the Memphis Zoo signed an agreement with the China Zoo Association to extend the lease period of the two pandas for another 10 years after the ten-year lease period ended.
