Enterprises from 127 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, and 66 countries and 3 international organizations participated in the National Comprehensive Exhibition, both exceeding the number of the previous year.

The exhibition area of many enterprises has been expanded, and the proportion of booth special decoration reached 96.1% this year, higher than the previous level.

In addition, "new friends" are constantly joining. This year is also the first year of the entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). The number of participating countries along the Belt and Road and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has also increased. Eight countries, including Nicaragua, will participate in the national exhibition for the first time.

Every year at the CIIE, the new products of the "first exhibition" will attract a lot of attention. Black diamond bromeliads from the Philippines, organic bananas from Ecuador, and perfumes from Thailand that you can drink with a straw... "A bite of Jinbo" will be renewed to better satisfy the taste buds of Chinese consumers.

Besides, the latest technological achievements are always exciting. The Fifth CIIE will set up special zones for crop seed industry and artificial intelligence, optimize low-carbon energy and environmental protection technologies, and expand innovation incubation zones. More than 150 startups in the fields of technology and equipment, consumer goods, medical care, automobiles and other fields will be on display. It is worth mentioning that the comprehensive exhibition area of "China in this Decade -- Achievements in Opening Up to the outside World" was also set up at the CIIE this year, which comprehensively displays China's brilliant achievements in opening up in the new era.
